General Session

The Dekker PPM Forum™ 2006 got off to a great start with the keynote address of former Indy racecar driver and businessman Lyn St. James. Lyn discussed her ability to manage risk and attain her goals in a traditionally male-dominated sport. Other general session speakers addressing the topic of project risk management included John Duval, Richard Chipman, Steve Volandt, and Simon Dekker. Attendees were able to share in the knowledge and best practices of experienced risk management professionals and ultimately left the Forum with the ability to manage the underlying risks that affect their projects, programs, and enterprises. Beyond the general session, the remaining days of the PPM Forum were filled with training sessions focused both on the use of Dekker, Ltd. products and advanced project management techniques. These training courses earned attendees valuable Project Management Institute (PMI) Certified Personal Development Units (PDUs). Courses included Earned Value Management Essentials, Principles of Project Management and Scheduling Disciplines, and a myriad of courses centered upon specific Dekker, Ltd. project management products, such as Dekker TRAKKER®, Dekker iPursuit®, and Dekker Traction™.
