Dekker, Ltd. Announces Newest Product, Dekker PMIS™ Version 8.0, at Annual PPM Forum
Dekker, Ltd. announced the latest version of its premier project portfolio
management (PPM) and analysis tool, Dekker PMIS™ Version 8.0, at the annual
Dekker PPM Forum™ , held from May 20-24, 2007, at Humphrey’s Half Moon Inn and
Suites in San Diego, California. Simon Dekker, President and CEO of Dekker,
Ltd., made the announcement at the general session of the PPM Forum.
“Version 8.0 represents the next generation in project portfolio management and analysis,” stated Mr. Dekker as he made the surprise peek at the future of Dekker software. “It unites all of the project portfolio management tools our customers have to come to rely on into one, integrated system.”
Dekker PMIS™ 8.0 is a complete project management information system (PMIS) comprised of Dekker Ltd.’s four, flagship software applications, Dekker TRAKKER®, Dekker iPursuit®, Dekker Traction™ and Dekker iPortfolio®. Because of its integrated cost, schedule, resource, performance tracking and financial management components, Mr. Dekker explained that Dekker PMIS™ 8.0 will permit organizations to manage, analyze, control and prioritize every detail of every project and program across their enterprise.
Version 8.0 will enable companies to view and report project performance at the organizational, departmental, project and sub-project levels. The product also has the ability to generate the reports mandated by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. For those organizations required to meet the reporting requirements of OMB Circular A-11 Part 7 Exhibit 300, ANSI/EIA Standard 748-98A, and other EVM governing standards, the built-in earned value management (EVM) features can be used to track and analyze EVM information directly from Microsoft® Project.
Mr. Dekker noted that Dekker PMIS™ 8.0 contextualizes risks within an organization’s projects and programs, as well as their respective schedules and budgets. He also mentioned that project data can be shared and accessed remotely and securely via the Internet. “Best of all,” said Mr. Dekker, “Version 8.0 is fully compatible with Microsoft® Windows Vista and Microsoft® Office 2007.”
