General Session

To emphasize the business “intelligence” theme of the Dekker PPM Forum™ 2007, attendees were given a “top secret” dossier that included copies of speaker presentations, as well as a Flash drive of the presentations hidden within a secret compartment of a sleek, ballpoint pen.

The general session of the Forum started strong with the profound keynote address of two-term chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Hugh Shelton. General Shelton delivered a presentation on the need for values-based leadership in a time of corporate corruption. Other general session speakers included Cheryl-Ann Cohen, Executive Director of Information Technology for ManTech International Corporation; Pamela Metz, United Space Alliance Project Manager; filmmaker Vince Marcello; and Dekker, Ltd. President and CEO Simon Dekker.

Attendees of the general session were able to share in the knowledge and best practices of experienced project management professionals and ultimately ended the day with the ability to take into consideration environmental business conditions that can impede or enhance project, program and enterprise performance. Networking Events

Dekker, Ltd. hosted a number of professional networking events such as a scramble golf tournament, catered receptions, a James Bond-themed mystery dinner theater show with gourmet meals, a barbecue, and the opportunity for attendees to have their picture taken with a tiger cub.
