One of the core components of Earned Value Management is careful and structured baseline change control. This course will detail the practical application of Earned Value methods and the project change control features using Dekker TRAKKER. Attendees will analyze Dekker TRAKKER's Earned Value methods and how the Change Control features are used to update baselined activities while preserving history and managing variances. Specific attention will be paid to the TRAKKER Change Control and Account Logs, how TRAKKER records the project changes, including the effect of rolling wave.

This course defines best practices for integrating Microsoft® Project schedule data with Dekker TRAKKER®. Students will learn how to maximize the features of Microsoft® Project integration with TRAKKER to make best use of the added functionality of TRAKKER. Coursework will cover schedule, resource and cost data integration with TRAKKER and Microsoft® Project, and maximizing performance while maintaining large Microsoft® Project files.

This course provides registrants with an understanding of how to maximize the custom reporting capabilities of TRAKKER and how to use Microsoft® Excel to enhance their reporting outputs. Both Dekker TRAKKER® and Dekker iPursuit® incorporate Microsoft® Excel as a core component for informational views and reporting displays. Sort, Select, and Summarize (SSS) harnesses the power of any data source by creating smart-spreadsheet views. This course focuses on the application of SSS to empower users to create any desired view of their information. Students learn how to navigate the SSS tool, how to effortlessly extract and organize information for analysis through Excel, and how to tailor spreadsheets so that the right information is presented to the right people at the right time.

This is an introductory course that covers core functionality found within Dekker iProgram™, Dekker's new web-based program management tool, and the foundation for the Department of Energy's Project Assessment and Reporting System (PARS II). This course takes registrants through the Oversight & Assessment (OA) module within iProgram, where upper management and project oversight teams have the ability to track programs and their constituent projects from the earliest definition phases through closeout. This course covers the effective use of Gateway Decisions and KPPs, tracking of Baseline Change Proposals (BCPs), applying budgeting and funding profiles to programs and their projects, and using the built-in Dekker Sort, Select, Summarize (SSS) functionality to view and generate new reports.
| Dekker iProgram™ Applications Workshop – Contractor Project Performance | .5 Days |
This is an introductory course that covers core functionality found within Dekker iProgram™, Dekker's new web-based program management tool, and the foundation for the Department of Energy's Project Assessment and Reporting System (PARS II). This course takes registrants through the Contractor Project Performance (CPP) module within iProgram, where contractors and performance organizations are able to upload project performance data directly from their Earned Value or project management tools. Additionally, the CPP provides access to Dynamic Drill-Down Dashboards that allow appropriate users to view cost, schedule, and time phased project data, down to the work package level.

This track consists of the TRAKKER Applications Workshop, which presents over the course of two days the fundamental aspects of Dekker TRAKKER® and covers the implementation of generally accepted program management algorithms. With hands-on product use, registrants will be instructed in schedule, resource, and cost techniques. Regardless of experience level, this course provides the essential information needed for students to develop a working knowledge of TRAKKER.
